Founded in 1969, Fox Valley Montessori School (FVMS) is a not-for-profit Montessori School. Nestled into a neighborhood on the NW side of Aurora, FVMS offers a high quality Montessori educational experience for children ages 20 months - 12 (sixth grade). In addition, FVMS also offers a Montessori parent/infant class each fall and winter. Our facility was designed as a Montessori school and offers spacious classrooms, large outdoor areas, and a multi-purpose gym. In order to uphold the tenets of the Montessori philosophy, all of the lead teachers (Directresses) are Montessori certified, all classrooms are multi-aged grouped, the environment is prepared according to the developmental needs of the child, grace & courtesy and peace education is rooted in the core of our classrooms.
Our toddler program is offered 2,3, & 5 mornings a week from 8:30 - 11:15 AM. Our primary program (ages 3-6) is offered 3 & 5 days a week from 8:30 - 11:30 or an extended day from 8:30 - 2:30. Our elementary program, which includes Kindergarten, is offered only 5 days a week from 8:30 - 2:30 PM. We do offer before/after school care for children enrolled at FVMS from 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

We are located near Randall Rd and Indian Trail in the NW corner of Aurora, IL. If coming south on Randall Rd from I-88, go to Indian Trail and proceed south of this intersection to the 2nd street on the left (Colorado). Turn left and take this to the 1st stop sign - Commonwealth. Turn right onto Commonwealth and we are approx. 1 block on the right hand side of the street. If coming from the South you can take Orchard Road N to Illinois. Turn left onto Illinois and take this to Randall Rd. Go through the intersection to the stop sign. At the stop sign proceed to the 1st street on the left (Cheyenne) and turn left. Then make an immediate turn onto Commonwealth. We are on the left approx. 1.5 blocks. Also from the south take Lake St. (Rte 31) north to Prairie. Turn left onto Prairie and go to Elmwood. Turn right onto Elmwood and proceed north to Illinois. Proceed through the intersection to the 1st street north of Illinois which is New Haven. Turn left onto New Haven and this deadends at Commonwealth. Turn right onto Commonwealth and we are approx. .5 blocks on the left.
